Example of macrotia surgery or scapha reduction surgery where the upper segment of the ear is reduced in size. This is NOT classic otoplasty surgery – or ear pinning. It is actual reduction in the size of the ear in terms of vertical height. You can readily see how – after surgery – the top of the ear has been truncated to create a more proportional size and shape.
